Attendees Testimonials
I had to take some annual leave to do Ip Wischin’s course back in Easter [in Dublin] but I’m so glad I did. Initially when I saw the title (…) I was intrigued. Part of me thought „maybe he’s got a cool formula that I can plug into my screenplay structure“. Well, I was wrong, at least on one count. It was cool. But it would be unfair to call it a formula, because that suggests something clinical and Ip’s methods are the exact opposite. He’s all about infusing each scene with meaning to make movie going a much more emotionally satisfying experience.

I recommend the course. Ip encourages our adventure side within a great conceptual frame that might take us to those spaces we enjoy to inhabit and leave our mark.
- John McGarrigle, Screenwriter
I got so much out of the (…) course, such a comprehensive understanding of what Ip calls Functional Dramaturgy. I would definitely recommend attending one of Ip’s workshops. Not only is he approachable and engaging but what he’s teaching is very valuable.
- Sarah Fallon, Screenwriting student
Strongly recommend Ip’s course. As a newbie in the whole writing world and far fro having a mathematical brain, I was intrigued about the whole „Algorithms“ concept. This was hugely beneficial to me and I have to say I have not been looking at movies the same way since. Looking forward to the next Ipster session!! Hugely informative and practical, it will keep you thinking. Just do it!!
